Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB) is the examination body that conducts IJMB Examinations (IJMBE) at both Ordinary and Advanced Levels. The Ordinary Level examination is meant to remedy deficiencies in English Language and Mathematics at the same level in the WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or Cambridge (CIE) results. The Advanced Level examination is equivalent to GCE Advanced Level and Higher School Cerificate, HSC. Students sit for three(3) Advanced Level subjects and on successful completion, proceed to the 2nd year of undergraduate programmes in various universities in the country. The results can also be used to seek admissions in universities abroad.Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination (IJMBE) is moderated by Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria and established in 1977 with study centres nationwide as an alternative programme to securing university admission. IJMB does not require JAMB and even accept awaiting result for registration.
Also, the certificate obtainable does not expire and guaranteed 200L admission instead of the traditional 100L admission given by JAMB. ALL required to enrol for IJMBE is a completeO level result i.e WAEC, NECO,NABTEB,GCE in one/two sittings and we even accept Awaiting Result.
